Anhui Museum has a rich collection of ceramics with a wide range of ages from the Neolithic Age to the late Qing Dynasty and The Republic of China. There are many varieties of porcelain from simple and elegant original celadon and printed hard pottery to different kinds of plain and glazed monochrome porcelain and colorful painted porcelain, showing the history of Chinese ceramics. Many exquisite ceramics that were made in famous kilns such as Changsha Kiln, Yue Kiln, Ding Kiln, Jizhou Kiln, Longquan Kiln, Jingdezhen Kiln, etc.during the Tang and Song Dynasties are collected here. The Yuan Dynasty blue and white porcelains are also can be found in Anhui Museum. The local characteristics are remarkable. The local kiln products such as Shouzhou Kiln, Fanchang Kiln and Xiao Kiln are all-inclusive. They show the historical features that the combination of north and south China in the aspects of production technology and shape decoration. The porcelains from Shouzhou Kiln, Fanchang Kiln and Xiao Kiln all have great significance in the history of Chinese ceramics development. Shouzhou Kiln has the pure glazed porcelain such as bluish, yellow and black glazed porcelain. Fanchang Kiln has the elegant bluish white porcelain. And Xiao Kiln has white porcelain and white ground black flower products
